Student Quotes

"Mountain Empire, along with other country schools, has a hard time properly funding the education that should be offered. When schools lose out because of money issues, the students are the victims because they lost their right to learn."

Energize Students 'Your Point of View' contest has ended. Congratulations to our winners!!!

Contest Background
Energize Students asked teenagers ages 14 - 19 years old, "What would you like to change about your education?" and "How would you change it?" We wanted to know what would make high school more valuable to students and give them the opportunity to be part of the solution. We understand that students see the issues and have ideas to fix them, so we gave students a forum to be heard by submitting essays. We received thousands of compelling essays with creative solutions. Read their stories and vote on your favorite submissions. Remember, it only takes one small voice to make a huge difference!

How does it work?
Read what students have to say and vote for your favorite entries. There are 12 essays in the 1st round of voting. The top 6 essays that receive the most votes will move forward to the 2nd round. The top 3 essays that receive the most votes will move forward to the final round. During the final round, your votes will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place entries. It's that simple!

Voting Rules
** You must be registerd to vote and may vote only once per day. Each round will erase previous votes and entries will begin at zero votes again.

Can I still play if the contest has already started?
Yes. As long as it is still within the voting period.

Are there prizes?
Yes! Enegize Students will award each of these students with prize money. This is your opportunity to support your favorite submissions and help award 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $500 and 3rd place $300 from Energize Students. For more details on the awards, please visit the Winners Page.
