Student Quotes

"Mountain Empire, along with other country schools, has a hard time properly funding the education that should be offered. When schools lose out because of money issues, the students are the victims because they lost their right to learn."

Title:  Walk A Mile In My Shoes
Description:  Often people get bullied because assumptions or judgement is made to hastily. If everyone stepped back and though about what the life of the person might be like or tried to walk a mile in someone else's shoes we might have respect for other and think before we make a judgement about a person.
Public Name:  LillianHaw
Essay:  Have you ever judged someone based off of the way they looked? The answer is most likely yes. I’ll admit I have done it myself... I believe that if students really got to know each other bullying would cease.
Teachers say they want to help but most of the time they ignore the situation. Proper protocols for handling bullies in schools needs to be set up.
I propose that schools have program or a club where students can come and feel safe to talk about their issues as well as be empowered to do something about it.
We all have the power to stop bullying. Take action and speak up for those who are too afraid or cannot speak up for themselves!
